The Geologist Resource Definition position offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to resource growth and reserve conversion through high?quality geological data collection and brownfields exploration work. As a Geologist Resource Definition, you will be part of a collaborative geology team and will assist with drilling programs, core logging, sampling, data management, and providing geological interpretation and models. The role focuses on developing foundational exploration skills while contributing to a safe, high?performing
culture. This role is to recruit for an existing vacancy.
The position will be on an 5/2/4/3 (9.5 – hour day) roster and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario.
We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $80,919 to $109,479 CAD.
Key result areas in this role include:
- Support all geology and exploration functions with daily activities and data tasks.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve geological understanding of resource areas.
- Contribute to drill program execution, including core handling, drill?hole logging, sampling, and data entry.
- Support QA/QC activities to ensure high?quality geological, geochemical, and assay data.
- Assist in the preparation of geological interpretations and 3D models under guidance from Senior Geologists.
- Provide timely updates to supervisors on drilling progress, sample status, and field activities.
- Contribute to safe efficient work practices by identifying hazards, following safety procedures, promoting a proactive safety culture and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Consider environmental, community, and cultural heritage factors when carrying out exploration activities.
- Comply with applicable regulations, site standards, and policies relevant to exploration activities.

As a Resource Definition Geologist, you will hold a bachelor’s degree in Geology or Earth Science. It is also important that you have/ can demonstrate:
- Eligibility to register as a Professional Geoscientist (GIT) in Ontario is an asset.
- 2–4 years’ experience in geological fieldwork, mineral exploration, or mining operations
- Exposure to orogenic gold systems considered beneficial.
