Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Prepare the design and complete load calculations, schematics, equipment selection and system concept report.
- Prepare the contract documents including the specifications.
- Evaluate shop drawing reviews.
- Manage projects from design through construction.
- Ensure ASHRAE and LEED compliance where applicable.
- Direct, review, and approve project design changes.
- Engage in meetings with clients, contractors, and other consultants regarding project reports and findings.
- Provide expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Post‑secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant discipline required.
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is an asset.
- Professional Engineering Designation (P.Eng) required.
- 6+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering for industrial, commercial, and/or institutional buildings.
- Strong background knowledge in Building Design with an emphasis on mechanical systems (HVAC/Plumbing/Fire Protection).
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as the Canadian National Building Code (NBC), Ontario Building Code (OBC), etc.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to meet deadlines/successful completion of deliverables.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with the LEED accreditation process is an asset.

Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada. - Compensation Range: $85,000 - $120,000 per annum (actual compensation may vary).
