Position: Skilled Water/Wastewater Operator Needed
Location: Sioux Lookout

Keewaytinook Okimakanak is looking for a skilled Water/Wastewater Operator to manage water treatment processes effectively. This position involves operational tasks and regulatory compliance focused on community needs.

As a part of the Public Works team, you will perform maintenance duties across various facilities and ensure safe treatment processes. Key responsibilities include system monitoring, housekeeping, and performing regulatory sampling. Collaboration with staff and effective communication with clients are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform operational and maintenance tasks for facilities

• Ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines

• Monitor and repair water treatment and distribution systems

• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions independently

• Collect and analyze regulatory water samples

Requirements:

• Technical training in water/wastewater operations

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Experience with First Nation communities is an asset

• Valid driver's abstract for company vehicle operation

• Willingness to participate in ongoing training
