Position Description
Lead and contribute to a wide range of Mechanical Engineering projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment. Apply advanced technical knowledge in the planning, design, and delivery of HVAC and Plumbing solutions for commercial and institutional settings. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and quality oversight while supporting the development of junior staff and ensuring projects are executed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
Position Responsibilities- Manage and execute mechanical engineering projects, including design, analysis, and implementation of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and industrial systems.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and project documentation.
- Conduct design and performance analysis using engineering principles, codes, and standards.
- Lead coordination with clients, consultants, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure effective project delivery.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and intermediate staff, promoting technical growth and professional development.
- Support project management tasks, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, codes, and municipal requirements.
- Contribute to proposal development and business development initiatives through client engagement and technical input.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise in Mechanical Engineering, supported by a degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution and registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.). The role requires 10+ years of relevant experience in mechanical system design, analysis, and project execution. Candidates should possess proficiency with design and modeling software including AutoCAD and Revit MEP, as well as a thorough understanding of applicable codes, standards, and industry practices.
Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills are essential, with proven experience mentoring technical staff and managing multidisciplinary projects.
This position is classified as full time. Rate of pay will be commensurate with related experience and qualifications ($ per year +).
