Join Keewaytinook Okimakanak as a Water/Wastewater Operator, where you will ensure safe treatment processes and operational excellence in monitoring. This role supports critical infrastructure in remote First Nations.
The Water/Wastewater Operator plays a vital role in maintaining the water systems of Deer Lake, Fort Severn, and other First Nations. You will perform operational tasks, routine maintenance, and compliance checks while working independently on treatment facility optimizations. This role combines technical skills in both water and wastewater management with a focus on regulatory sampling and laboratory procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all operational tasks for assigned facilities

• Communicate effectively with the public and staff

• Monitor and optimize treatment equipment performance

• Collect regulatory water samples for analysis

• Maintain logs and records as per regulations
Requirements:

• Class II Water Treatment Operator Certificate

• Class I Wastewater License required

• Training in Health and Safety protocols

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Experience working in First Nations communities
