Casual-Equipment Operator ; Heavy

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will operate construction, excavation, earthmoving and road clearing equipment rated at 80 H.P. and/or 6,900 kg or more in a safe and efficient manner.

Hourly Wage: $31.00 per hour with benefits as per the Employment Standards Act and current Collective Agreement.

• High school Diploma
• Demonstrated ability to operate departmental equipment including trucks, loader, grader, bulldozer, small backhoe, sidewalk machine, landfill compactor, etc as determined by the employer.
• Three (3) years previous work experience directly related to equipment operation and maintenance.
• Have and maintain a valid Class D driver’s licence with a "Z" endorsement for air brake vehicles.
• The successful applicant will be required to obtain and submit a criminal record check and driver’s abstract prior to start date at candidate’s expense.
