Sandvik Mining – Warehouse Technician (Red Lake, ON)
Sandvik Mining is seeking a Warehouse Technician located in Red Lake, ON. The role involves managing the shipment, receipt, and distribution of materials in a timely manner while ensuring compliance with safety policies and efficient use of warehouse space.
Responsibilities- Account for all materials and supplies in the facilities; audit goods received into the warehouse.
- Oversee receipt, storage, and shipment of materials, and related reporting in accordance with established procedures.
- Prepare and coordinate schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space.
- Ensure the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment.
- Process sales orders and invoices.
- Update and maintain the warehouse location system.
- Participate in customer on‑call services as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with safety policies and applicable government, customer, or industry regulations or requirements.
- Identify and report any unsafe work habits, workplace incidents, and/or near misses.
- Perform risk assessments ("Take Five") prior to each task.
- Maintain an orderly work area and ensure housekeeping requirements are met.
- Attend Environmental, Health, and Safety related trainings and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) assigned for each task.
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Minimum of one (1) year of warehouse or inventory experience.
- Experience in mining operations is considered an asset.
- Experience operating a forklift is required.
- Experience using computerized inventory management systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team.
- Detail‑oriented with good time management and organizational skills.
- Computer literacy (MS Office).
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to move up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.
