Vision Statement

To reach a goal of a healthy self, healthy dibenjikewin (family), and a healthy community. Our ancestors held everything sacred and thanked Kishe-Manido (Creator) for all that had been given, including the foundation to guide a strong community composed of healthy dibenjikewinan(families) who are raising awaashishag (children) and/or oshkaadizag (youth) grounded in their culture and language.

Position Summary

The Dibenjikewin Oganawenjikeg (“DO”) Manager:
Kanawendaakosowinik (Family Keeper Manager for Place of Safety) is a managerial position responsible for overseeing the work of the Kanawendaakosowinik (Place of Safety) team and buildings per the assigned location. This includes providing direct supervision, guidance, and administrative management of the Kanawendaakosowinik team, which includes Kanawendaakosowinik Niigaaniitamaakeg (Place of Safety Team Leader), Kanawendaakosowinik Onihtaawikihaawaso (Place of Safety Caregiver), Respite Workers, Clerk and Maintenance Worker.

This includes maintaining the work schedules and ensuring adequate staffing at Kanawendaakosowinik locations and understanding the averaging modified schedule of applicable employees. Further, administrative duties and responsibilities of the DO Manager:
Kanawendaakosowinik include budget development for operations, financial reporting, case file reporting, and human resources decision‑making. Working with the DO and ESU teams, led by their managers, will be necessary to keep everyone informed. This position reports to their assigned KIDO Assistant Director. The hours of work are from 9:00am to 5:00pm during regular KIDO office operating hours, but this is subject to adjusted schedules and/or occasional shift work due to operational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities
