Location: Red LakeAbout the role
The purpose of the Longhole Loader/Blaster role is to be responsible for the safe and efficient loading and blasting of long-hole stopes at Evolution Mining Red Lake Operation.

Work with team members to safely execute mining plansReport on the quality of drillingSet up and maintain work headings, ensuring a safe working environmentParticipate in safety and production meetingsStrive to meet daily, weekly and monthly production targetsCollaborate with other departments to achieve goalsWork in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation and commitment to satisfy our operation’s goal of being accident-freeComply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirementsAdhere to all relevant corporate policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assignedAbout you
As a Longhole Loader/Blaster, you will have a Secondary School Diploma and have successfully completed all relevant Common Core training modules.
It is also important that you have/ can demonstrate:
Knowledge of long-hole production mining and practical blasting experience is an assetStrong understanding of various mining methods and procedures (longhole, cut and fill, development, etc)Familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Mines and Mining PlantsContributes to overall team successWillingness to work overtime when requiredWork day and night shifts or as required by the CompanyExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with othersStrong time-management and prioritization capabilitiesWell developed decision-making and problem-solving abilitiesSound organizational skillsGood written and verbal communication abilitiesCapable of visualizing what lies aheadPossesses a strong work ethicEnthusiastic with a high level of energyEncourages a climate of teamwork and collaborationWorks well in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentSelf-motivated, flexible team playerWilling and able to participate in courses and developmental training programsAt Evolution, we’re passionate about Our Culture and Values.
