Position: Emergency Room Nurse Practitioner Role

Elevate patient care as a Nurse Practitioner in the Emergency Room at Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre. Emphasize your skills in critical problem-solving and effective counseling while working directly with patients and healthcare teams.

As an Attending Nurse Practitioner, you will report to the Patient Care Manager and the Medical Director, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and delivering patient-centered care. This role requires collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans, while also providing mentorship to enhance team skills. Your leadership will drive improvements through evidence-based initiatives and research.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive primary care within an interdisciplinary team

• Conduct patient-centered health assessments and engage patients in care

• Collaborate with healthcare teams and manage care plans

• Document clinical data and care interventions promptly

• Lead clinical guidance in the Emergency Room

Requirements:

• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in Extended Class

• Current ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications preferred

• Effective organizational and communication skills

• Experience with mental health and substance use

• Commitment to patient-centered care principles
