Position: Registered Nurse for Diabetes Care
Location: Sioux Lookout

Elevate your nursing career with Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre as a Registered Nurse specializing in diabetes care. Provide comprehensive education and support for patients at the Centre for Complex Diabetes Care.

In this role, the Registered Nurse will plan and implement diabetes education services, focusing on medication management and self-management goals. Working collaboratively within the interdisciplinary health care team, you will enhance services, ensuring patient-centered and holistic care for clients registered at CCDC while utilizing your advanced foot care and wound management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Educate patients on diabetes management and lifestyle changes

• Provide advanced foot care and wound management

• Serve as a resource for staff and physicians

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams

• Perform additional nursing duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Basic CPR certificate required

• Minimum one year in diabetes education management preferred

• Advanced diabetic foot care certification or willingness to obtain

• Certified Diabetes Educator designation required
