Registered Nurse - Sioux Lookout Health Centre

Location: Sioux Lookout

Become part of the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre as a Registered Nurse in the Assault Care and Treatment unit, focusing on the Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence Program. This role emphasizes comprehensive, ethical nursing care for clients in crisis situations.

The ideal candidate holds current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and possesses at least two years of clinical experience. Essential qualifications include CPR certification and adaptability in fast-paced settings. Additional training in crisis intervention and mental health will enhance suitability for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide ethical care and support to program clients

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team

• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergencies

• Maintain clarity and focus despite interruptions

• Enforce and adhere to infection control protocols

Requirements:

• Current registration as an RN in Ontario

• Minimum two years of nursing experience required

• IV and venipuncture skills essential

• Knowledge of child protection and reporting practices

• Experience working with diverse populations encouraged
