Assault Care Registered Nurse

Position: Assault Care Registered Nurse Role
Location: Sioux Lookout

Provide essential nursing care for Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre's Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence Program. This Registered Nurse position emphasizes compassionate and ethical support for vulnerable clients.

In this role, you will adhere to the College of Nurses Ontario standards while delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and may testify in court when required. Candidates should bring strong clinical assessment and treatment skills along with a minimum of two years of RN experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to clients in crisis

• Collaborate effectively with diverse treatment teams

• Participate in on-call rosters as needed

• Maintain clinical standards during high-pressure situations

• Offer culturally competent support adhering to best practices

Requirements:

• Current RN registration with the College of Nurses Ontario

• Basic CPR certification mandatory

• Two years of relevant nursing experience

• Crisis intervention training preferred or willing to complete

• IV/venipuncture certification required

Deliver safe, effective nursing care to make a difference for clients in crisis.
