Public Health Nurse

Position: Full-Time Public Health Nurse Role
Location: Dryden

Enhance community health as a Full-Time Public Health Nurse with the Northwestern Health Unit. Engage in multiple programs while contributing to the region's health objectives through teamwork and collaboration.

This position offers a full-time contract from June 2026 to February 2027 within the Northwestern Health Unit. As a Public Health Nurse, you will actively contribute to programs under the Family Health Team, focusing on health promotion and protection initiatives. Collaborate with local partners for effective planning and evaluation of health programs, emphasizing interdisciplinary teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement Public Health programs collaboratively

• Engage with community partners for effective planning

• Evaluate programs for community health impact

• Promote health education and initiatives to families

• Work independently with minimal supervision

Requirements:

• Current nursing registration in Ontario

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BScN)

• CPR certification and willingness to remain current

• Knowledge of adult/child education principles

• Experience in labour and delivery is a plus
