Public Health Nurse

Position: Public Health Nurse at Northwestern Health Unit
Location: Dryden

Join Northwestern Health Unit as a Public Health Nurse fostering community wellness through diverse health programs. This full-time role emphasizes collaboration, education, and strategic health implementation.

The contract runs for approximately 9 months starting June 2026. In this role, you will implement various Public Health programs, such as those within the Family Health Team, while working in partnership with local community members. Contribute significantly to achieving the health organization’s strategic goals through teamwork and program evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in multiple Public Health programs

• Collaborate with community partners for planning

• Evaluate public health programs for effectiveness

• Provide health education to individuals and families

• Work autonomously while supporting a team environment

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with College of Nurses of Ontario

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BScN)

• Current CPR certification is required

• Knowledge or experience in population health promotion

• Labour and delivery expertise is beneficial

Promote and protect health outcomes as a key member of the public health nursing team.
