Casual Registered Nurse, Operating Room & Surgical Day Care

As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Registered Nurses at Dryden Regional Health Centre provide comprehensive, compassionate nursing care to a variety of clients. As a full‑time registered nurse you will provide and coordinate nursing care to assigned clients consistent with current standards of professional practice with the Ontario College of Nurses.

Requirements
  • Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current BLS, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Neonatal Resuscitation Provider credentials
  • Completed the Operating Room Techniques Course for Registered Nurses from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of two (2) years Operating Room experience in circulating and scrubbing considered an asset
  • Must be able to be on stand‑by
  • Experience working in Emergency, Critical Care and OBS would be an asset
  • Good physical health
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Demonstration of strong nursing practice, skill and judgment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including superior verbal communication abilities
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, leadership, and mentoring skills
  • Must be able to work in a team‑oriented environment
  • Demonstrates behaviours consistent with Dryden Regional Health Centre's Code of Conduct and Standards of Behaviour
  • Proven attendance record
  • Able to perform the essential duties of the job
  • Demonstrates DRHC Core Values;
    Accountability, Integrity, Humility, Compassion and Respect
  • Immunization records must be presented prior to hire
