Position: SGS Fire Assay Technician Opportunity

Exciting opportunity as a Fire Assay Technician at SGS, the leader in testing and inspection. This role involves handling challenging laboratory tasks on 12-hour shifts while executing Fire Assay techniques.

As a Fire Assay Technician, you will perform essential tasks like fluxing and cupelling, while maintaining a clean work environment. SGS values detail-oriented individuals with communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A high school diploma and relevant laboratory experience are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Fire Assay techniques per quality standards

• Maintain accurate work documentation and sheets

• Assist in routine maintenance of laboratory equipment

• Organize and label waste disposal efficiently

• Collaborate on special projects in the lab

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Preferred minimum of 1 year lab experience

• Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Oracle

• Must be able to operate in high-temperature conditions

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and detail-oriented mindset
