Security Worker at SLFNHA

Location: Sioux Lookout

Protect the SLFNHA facilities as a Security Worker, ensuring safety in hostel and parking facilities. Ideal candidates will have security training, communication skills, and a commitment to client service.

Under the supervision of the Security Supervisor, you'll provide crucial security for the hostel and other properties. This role emphasizes strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork. Experience in security is preferred but training will be provided, especially in areas like Non-Violent Crisis Intervention. Your work will help maintain a safe environment for clients and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct hourly checks of property and report issues

• Document incidents and maintain accurate reporting

• Facilitate safe client services and assistance

• Monitor CCTV systems to ensure operational integrity

• Assist in the evacuation process and safety checks

Requirements:

• Persons of First Nations ancestry preferred

• Experience in security or frontline customer service

• Good communication and organizational skills

• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks

• Completion of security training/licensing an asset
