Position: Hostel Security Officer Role

Become a vital part of SLFNHA as a Hostel Security Officer, safeguarding both the hostel and its surrounding areas. This position is crucial for maintaining safety and requires strong communication.

As a Security Officer at SLFNHA, your role entails protecting the facility and responding to emergencies effectively. Candidates must possess problem-solving skills and exhibit calm professionalism when dealing with sensitive situations. While familiarity with security processes is advantageous, full training and support will be provided to successful applicants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure fire exits and corridors are clear

• Assist clients with mobility and information

• Perform wellness and safety checks periodically

• Utilize CCTV for surveillance and monitoring

• Lead emergency evacuation procedures as needed

Requirements:

• Preference for First Nations ancestry applicants

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Experience in security or related fields

• Capacity for heavy lifting and standing for long periods

• Completion of security training highly regarded
