Join SLFNHA as a Hostel Security Specialist, dedicated to ensuring safety for all clients and staff. Effective communication and security knowledge are essential in this vital role.

You will work under the Security Supervisor to provide essential security services at the hostel and associated properties. This position prioritizes client interaction and requires excellent judgment in potentially stressful situations. While previous security experience is beneficial, candidates will receive comprehensive training tailored to enhance their skills in safety, reporting, and crisis intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and secure all areas of the property

• Document all reported incidents accurately

• Provide assistance to clients in a courteous manner

• Maintain effective use of CCTV surveillance

• Participate in staff training and safety drills

Requirements:

• Preference for candidates of First Nations ancestry

• Previous customer service or security experience

• Strong attention to detail and decision-making skills

• Capability to manage physically demanding tasks

• Completion of security licensing/training preferred
