Youth Worker at Creighton Youth Centre

Location: Kenora

Empower male youth as a Youth Worker at Creighton Youth Centre in Kenora, Ontario. This full-time temporary role focuses on supporting adolescents through direct engagement and crisis intervention strategies.

William W. Creighton Youth Services is seeking a youth worker to begin as soon as possible for approximately three months. Ideal candidates hold a Child and Youth Worker Diploma or significant related experience in sociology, psychology or social services. The role requires strong verbal and interpersonal skills to effectively manage youth interactions and group dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support male youth during daily activities and interactions

• Implement and manage crisis intervention techniques

• Foster constructive relationships through effective communication

• Maintain awareness of the Youth Criminal Justice Act

• Work shifts as required to meet program needs

Requirements:

• Child and Youth Worker Diploma preferred

• Valid Ontario Drivers License and First Aid Certificate

• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills

• Ability to confront youth constructively

• Experience managing groups of adolescents
