Community Wellness Worker in Kenora​/Dryden

Location: Dryden

Join Anishinaabe Abinoojii Family Services as a Community Wellness Worker focused on promoting holistic well-being in First Nation communities. Engage in culturally respectful initiatives that enhance mental and emotional health.

This full-time role is integral for supporting community resilience through collaboration with families and service providers. You will develop and deliver wellness programs, engage with community members, and provide critical support to access mental health and social services. Foster community growth through effective programming and traditional practices while maintaining accurate records of participation and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and coordinate community wellness programs

• Engage community members to identify wellness needs

• Facilitate workshops and traditional activities

• Provide support in accessing mental health services

• Collaborate with local leaders and health providers

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Social Work or related diploma

• Experience with children, youth, and families

• Knowledge of First Nation community structures

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
