WNHAC is hiring a Cultural Coordinator responsible for integrating traditional Anishinaabe practices with modern health care. This full-time position emphasizes collaboration with elders and service providers, promoting cross-cultural awareness within the organization. You will be instrumental in ensuring essential services are accessible to interested clients while fostering respect for indigenous culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop consultation and referral pathways for clients

• Establish connections with elders and community healers

• Design and implement cultural education strategies

• Maintain thorough documentation and reports for accountability

• Engage in team meetings for collaborative planning

Requirements:

• Education or experience in health-related fields

• Knowledge of local Anishinaabe cultural practices

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to interpret and communicate in Anishinaabemowin

• Experience with or commitment to indigenous organizations
