Warehouse Technician​/Forklift Operator

Be a part of the initial team to grow and operate a regionally significant new underground mine development that is rapidly becoming the future of the iconic Red Lake gold mining district in Ontario, Canada.

Reporting to the Materials/Logistics Manager, the Warehouse Technician will ship, receive and record movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment and stock to and from the Red Lake Madsen Mine. The Warehouse Technician will work locally on a Five days on 2 Days, 4 days on and 3 days off Schedule.

• Follow safe working practices and site safety guidelines.
• Determine the least expensive and most efficient method of shipping.
• Prepare shipping documents internal and external.
• Assemble containers and crates, pack goods to be shipped and attach packing slips.
• Direct delivery trucks to various off-loading areas around site and help drivers unload goods if required.
• Inspect and count items that are received.
• Record shipped and received goods following company systems.
• Unpack received goods into appropriate storage areas.
• Trace lost shipments as needed.
• Fill out forms for damaged and returned items and route them correctly.
• Call suppliers and vendors to coordinate pick-up and delivery and inspections.
• Process warranties and follow up.
• Keep work areas clean and organized considering safety.
• Monitor fuel levels.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as power pallet jack and forklift.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Two to three years related experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Forklift experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other computer software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organization skills.
• Physical strength and stamina to lift and move up to 25 kg throughout work shift.
• Previous mine experience an asset.
