Machine Operator

The Municipality is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Machine Operator to support our Public Works team. This role is responsible for a variety of roads maintenance, equipment operation and more to help keep our community running smoothly.

• Valid DZ driver’s license with a good driving record, required
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, graders, and plows
• Knowledge of road repair, snow removal, and general maintenance work
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
• Dependable team player with good communication skills
• Maintain safety in all weather conditions

• Operating municipal equipment year-round for road, sidewalk, and drainage maintenance
• Performing snow and ice control, including plowing, sanding, and shoveling
• Assisting with landfill, utility, and cemetery operations as needed
• Conducting daily equipment inspections and minor repairs
• Responding to emergencies, on-call shifts, and changing weather conditions
