Position TypeFull-time
Primary Responsibilities- Supervising the department through all aspects of data entry, research, project management, accounting, record‑keeping, accounts payable/accounts receivable, and owner reporting.
- Create, review and distribute invoices, account statements, monthly aircraft owner statements, and other financial reports as needed.
- Reconcile aircraft activity folders, flight logs and expense reports to ensure accurate and prompt invoices reach clients and owners in a timely manner.
- Serve as main point of contact for office staff, pilots, aircraft owners and charter clients regarding billing/invoicing items.
- Perform heavy Excel spreadsheet usage and accounting software tasks.
- Lead a department of 3‑5 accountants in the proper processing of reports, checklists, record‑keeping, flight booking or other aspects of charter trips.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team, providing guidance on daily tasks, performance evaluations, and professional development.
- Work closely with and support multiple departments; communicate timely and accurately with other team members.
- Maintain a positive, professional demeanor—responding courteously to customers and colleagues.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, teaching, and learning skills; bring out the strengths of your team.
- Exercise strong attention to detail, multitasking, and the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Respond to emails professionally and promptly.
- Exercise independent judgment, decision‑making abilities, and a desire to become a key member in the growth of our organization.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but an accounting work history demonstrating a solid work ethic is an excellent substitute.
- Ability and desire to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Detail‑oriented with superb organizational skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and preferably experienced with Quick Books or other accounting software.
- Passion to learn, increase skills, and take on new projects and responsibilities.
- Willingness to do what it takes to finish projects every day.
- Ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines.
Salary:
Starting from $45,000.00 per year and based on experience.
