Scamps has several programs which include Preschool Gymnastics, Boys and Girls Gymnastics, Cheer classes and Boys & Girls Tumble and Trampoline team. Scamps Gymnastics are programs supported under The Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha to meet the unique interests and needs of young people throughout the Kenosha community. Employees exhibit passion and commitment that helps our community thrive.

The Office Staff/Receptionist will work the front desk at Scamps and have no gymnastic teaching responsibilities. This position is responsible for effective office administration and customer service.

Hours for this position are:

  • Tuesday and Thursday, 3:30pm-7:30pm
  • Friday 8:30am-12:00pm
  • Saturday 8:30am-12:00pm

All staff must complete a background check at time of hire and annually.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Answer the phone and return all voicemails. Respond/forward emails to appropriate employees.
  • Greet customers as they come and go. Answer customer questions and assist new members.
  • Promote and sell the program to prospective customers. Have strong knowledge of programs, schedules, and terminology.
  • Register students and take payments from customers, including processing credit card payments.
  • Arrange student drops, transfers, trial classes, and make-up classes.
  • Post monthly tuition charges to accounts and send account statements.
  • Monitor accounts for delinquent payments. Send out notes to customers that carry a balance.
  • Monitor daily attendance.
  • Control the behavior of students in the lobby.
  • Create and work with spreadsheets.
  • Keep the front bulletin board current and create building signage.
  • Assist with administrative duties including copying, scanning and parent correspondence.
  • Provide basic first aid for students. Retrieve ice packs/band-aids, assist with minor illnesses and injuries.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Computer and keyboarding skills a must.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to create and work with spreadsheets.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Trustworthy and honest.
  • Friendly and enthusiastic

The hourly rate for this position is $15/hour.
