Retail​/Restaurant Reporter

The Kenosha News, a division of Lee Enterprises, is looking for a newspaper reporter/photographer who writes clearly, can develop relationships with sources and has an ability to take initiative. Responsibilities include writing, taking photos/video, posting content online and on social media. The reporter's primary beat will be covering retail, restaurants and the greater business community. The position also will help cover general assignment reporting as needed.

The Kenosha News is a daily newspaper in southeast Wisconsin with a strong digital culture and a focus on local content.

• Write, take photos/video, and post content online and on social media.
• Cover the reporter's primary beat of retail, restaurants and the greater business community.
• Help cover general assignment reporting as needed.

• Writes clearly and can develop relationships with sources.
• Has the ability to take initiative.
• New journalists are welcome to apply; writing samples and photos from college papers are welcome.
• Training will be offered to the right person.
• The position requires night and weekend hours.
