Gateway Technical College (Gateway) invites applications and nominations for the position of President and CEO. Above all else, the next president must prioritize strengthening Gateway’s solid reputation as a leader in technical education through their trusted decisions and actions.

The next president of Gateway Technical College must be a steady, values‑driven leader who builds trust through visible integrity, respectful relationships and consistent follow‑through. This is a role for someone who can listen deeply, communicate with clarity and make timely decisions that enhance understanding and boost confidence. The president should be intensely student‑centered and community‑rooted – committed to belonging and access, attentive to the lived realities of today’s learners and proud to tell the story of Gateway’s impact across the region.

The ideal candidate should possess the following desired leadership attributes: restorative and values‑driven, student‑centered, highly relational leadership, effective communicator, strategic collaborator, strong operational and financial acumen, change agent and team builder, bridge‑builder, and resource development and advocacy. Other professional qualifications include an earned doctorate or other terminal degree from an accredited institution and a distinguished record (at least 5 years) of progressively responsible administrative roles in a two‑year college or other complex organization.
