Ocean Spray is hiring for a Controls & Automation Technician, Nights!

• Operate as a night shift from 6 PM to 6 AM on a 2‑2‑3 schedule with rotating weekends off.
• Evaluate and select automation hardware and software to meet current and future manufacturing requirements.
• Maintain automation systems and change processes, assist equipment training, and support FSQA processes.
• Manage controls and automation system testing, quality control, data retrieval and training for all packaging and processing equipment.
• Assess effectiveness and maintainability of new automation systems and manage the automation change process for existing equipment.
• Develop and maintain control system documentation and documentation change‑control procedures.
• Support and promote food safety and quality program initiatives within the plant environment.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in controls and automation.
• Configure and program Allen‑Bradley Powerflex series variable frequency drives or equivalent.
• Troubleshoot/maintain controls system Ethernet, Device Net, Control Net and Remote I/O network architectures.
• Modify and program FIX
  32/iFIX HMI and SCADA platforms or equivalent.
• Program, maintain and troubleshoot Allen‑Bradley Panel View/Plus operator interface hardware.
• Install, troubleshoot and maintain transmitters and sensors.
• Audit, maintain and update electrical documentation.
• Read electrical schematics, PIDs and PFDs.
• Perform PID loop tuning and implement instrument calibration procedures.
• Troubleshoot and maintain SLC‑500, Micro Logix, Compact Logix and Control Logix hardware.
• Program Allen‑Bradley PLCs implementing RSLogix5, 500 and 5000 software or equivalent.
