Our Kenosha, WI corporate office is searching for a highly motivated Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate must be extremely organized, self-reliant, proactive, and detail-oriented. Primary Responsibilities:
This position reports directly to the Director of Maintenance and plays a critical leadership role in coordinating aircraft maintenance activities while working closely with multiple departments across the organization.
- Lead and perform routine aircraft maintenance, including inspections, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of airframe and engine systems in accordance with Federal Regulations.
- Assist the Director of Maintenance with oversight of maintenance schedules, inspections, and compliance tracking.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to maintenance personnel to ensure high-quality, efficient work practices.
- Communicate, as required, with vendors, suppliers, pilots, operations staff, and management teams regarding maintenance planning and aircraft status.
- Must demonstrate efficient use and application of tools, gauges, instruments, etc., necessary for the accomplishment of duties as assigned.
- Interpret technical manuals, instructions, schematics, drawings, ADs, service bulletins, and implement established maintenance procedures.
- Ensure personal compliance with Aviation Advisor, Inc. safety standards.
- Exercise independent judgment, decision-making abilities, and the desire to become a key member of the organization.
Requirements:
- Airframe & Powerplant License
- Technical experience:
General Aviation: 3+ years, Jet Aircraft: 1+ years (Preferred) - Prior leadership or supervisory experience in aircraft maintenance (Preferred)
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A passion to learn, increase skills, and take on new projects and responsibilities
- Ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced setting
