Our client is an organization in the Kenosha area looking for a Controller
. This company is looking for someone with 7+ years of related experience, property management experience, and strong leadership skills.

The salary range for this position is $150-200k.

The Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, job costing, accounts payable, fixed assets, journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes; ensure timely and accurate reporting and departmental financial analysis.
• Monitor management company financial performance against budget and analyze variances.
• Oversee disbursements and transfer to vendors.
• Develop annual budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Oversee monthly insurance billing.
• Serve as a liaison to external accountants and tax preparers.
• Lead, mentor and develop accounting team.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field required
• 7+ years of finance experience
• Experience in property management or real estate industry
• CPA preferred
• Proficiency with App Folio
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
