SustainableHR Recruiting is partnering with a well-established community bank in the Middleton, WI area to find an experienced Business Banking Officer, VP
. This is a great opportunity for an experienced banking professional who enjoys building lasting client relationships, growing a commercial portfolio, and providing customized financial solutions to local businesses.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in business banking or commercial lending, along with a proven ability to develop new business and manage existing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, manage, and grow a portfolio of business banking clients, including small to mid-sized companies across a variety of industries
Build strong, long-term relationships with business owners and key decision-makers
Identify client needs and provide customized banking and lending solutions
Proactively develop new business opportunities and expand existing client relationships
Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial loans and deposits
Serve as the primary point of contact for business clients and provide responsive, relationship-focused service
Monitor credit and portfolio risk while ensuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Partner with internal credit, cash management, and operations teams to provide comprehensive solutions for clients

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in business banking, commercial lending, credit analysis, or a related financial services role
Demonstrated experience managing and growing a portfolio of commercial loans and deposits
Strong business development skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding growth and sales goals
Experience developing relationships with business clients across a variety of industries
Strong knowledge of business banking products and services, including commercial loans, lines of credit, deposits, and cash management solutions
Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience will also be considered
Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
