Job Overview
Program:
School‑Based Therapist for K‑12 students in Western Kenosha County, Racine County, and Walworth County. Part‑time role, 9‑month school year with opportunity to continue during summer. Focus on providing mental health services in schools to students, families and school personnel.
PSG/CIP is a multi‑service community‑based social services organization committed to dynamic, cost‑effective, innovative programming that helps individuals and families achieve their greatest potential.
Key Responsibilities- Assess therapeutic needs and complete formal assessments.
- Create, review, and implement client treatment plans; provide psychotherapy in accordance with the plans.
- Act as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
- Address family system, mental health, parenting, and alcohol/drug issues through individual, family, or group counseling.
- Organize and facilitate structured group, individual and/or family activities.
- Consult with students’ schools and school personnel as needed.
- Coordinate services and maintain communication with all service providers involved with clients.
- Wisconsin State Licensed Therapist (LPC or LCSW).
- Master’s degree in a mental health field.
- Experience working with K‑12 students in a school setting and understanding of family systems.
- Ability to work with children and teens who have experienced emotional trauma.
Based at assigned school locations within the Western Kenosha, Racine, and Walworth County area. Typical hours Monday‑Friday 7:30‑5:00 pm; schedule may vary by school. Position operates during the 9‑month school year with option to work part‑time through summer months.
Salary & BenefitsSalary: $28.00 per hour.
