Front Desk Supervisor – The Stella Hotel & Ballroom

Position Title: Front Desk Supervisor
Reports To: Operations Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintain high quality of service offered to guests.
• Supervise Guest Services Representatives and oversee posting of guest room charges.
• Assist guests with needs, reservations, check‑ins and check‑outs.
• Ensure privacy and security of guests.
• Sell and up‑sell hotel facilities and services.
• Maintain front and back office areas stocked with necessary materials.
• Recommend ordering of office supplies and process improvements.
• Ensure proper payments to rooms from outlets and act as cashier for guests.
• Provide information center for guests and the hotel.
• Assist with supervision, training, scheduling of Guest Services Representatives.
• Maintain shift checklists and operational binders.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; some college preferred.
• Customer Service and/or Sales experience.
• Ability to supervise subordinates and perform tasks requiring sustained repetitive motion.
• Strong communication skills with guests.
• Basic arithmetic skills, including percentages.
• Reading, writing, and interaction skills.
• Knowledge of safety and emergency procedures.
• Cash and credit transaction handling.
• Proficiency with basic office equipment (front desk systems, telephone, calculator).
• Ability to move freely within front desk area and stand for long periods.
• Regular, punctual attendance.
• Demonstrate company's Service Excellence.
