The Role
This position offers a higher level of clinical care than typically found in post-acute or residential settings. Our facility delivers hospital-level services that are comparable to those provided on a medical-surgical unit. Our highly skilled interdisciplinary team is equipped to manage a wide range of complex medical needs, including intravenous therapy, surgical and wound care, tracheostomy management, mobility assistance, and the comprehensive oversight of lines, tubes, and drains.
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within a healing environment focused on optimal recovery.
Position Highlights At a Glance
- Caseload: ~7 patients
- Average Patient Length of Stay: 10–14 days
- Conditions:
Stroke, brain & spinal cord injuries, cardiac, ortho, complex medical, and more - Team Approach:
Work closely with PT/OT/ST, physicians, case managers, respiratory therapy & more - Advanced Care: IVs, trachs, wound care, mobility support, lines, tubes, and drains
- 12-hour shifts, 3 days/week + rotating weekends/holidays (with added pay)
- RN License (State of WI)
- CPR required | ACLS & BLS preferred
- 1+ year of RN experience preferred (Acute care a plus)
- CRRN preferred

Physical Requirements Over The Course Of a Shift
- A significant amount of standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods of time.
- Both gross and precise motor functions.
- Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs.
- Possible exposure to bodily fluids.
- Visual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation of care.
- Acute hearing required for accurate patient assessment.
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard.
