American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ED experience and a WI or compact RN license, with first-time travelers welcome.
Details- Level IV Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, and Accredited Chest Pain Center with an active FNE program
- 21 beds plus a 6-bed annex
- All patient ages treated
- RN to patient ratio of 1:4 and Tech to patient ratio of 1:8 on both days and nights
- 12-hour night shift from , 36 hours per week
- Weekend rotation of 1 weekend per month
- No call requirements
- No floating required
- Nursing station telemetry monitoring performed without a dedicated tele tech
- EMR: EPIC
- IV Pumps:
Alaris - Medication dispensing via Pyxis
- GE Monitors used for patient monitoring
- Active RN license (WI or Compact) required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC/TNS, and CPI or MOAB
- Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
- Critical care level skill set required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Candidate's middle name or initial required for consideration
- Candidate DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration
- Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
- Support on the unit includes a charge nurse with a reduced patient assignment, in-house hospitalist and ED MD coverage 24/7, HUC coverage 24/7, and phlebotomy support for peripheral blood draws
- Orientation includes at least 1 shift to learn unit flow
- Up to 7 days of time off may be approved
- No holiday coverage required
- Scrubs must be any solid professional color with no graphics, logos, or designs

- Former employees of the health system or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for this travel position
