Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center-Kenosha is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 6-9 month training and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable.
Program Details- Training will take place offsite, at Premier Veterinary Group in Chicago, IL.
- Program duration: 6–9 months of training, ideally beginning June 2026, with a 12-month commitment as an ER clinician following training.

The ER Immerse Program will prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs, the program is centered on core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian. It includes training around clinical knowledge and skills, with a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration.
The program uses a hybrid training approach with simulation-based didactics and live-patient experiences, and an evidence-based curriculum identifying essential competencies for a successful career as an emergency clinician.

- 5-day work week with 4 clinical days, 1 didactic day, and 2 days off each week
- Rotation in Chicago with Emergency, Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, Radiology, and Neurology
- Dedicated mentorship on shifts
- Daily rounds
- Mentorship tailored to individual needs
- Competency-based curriculum including asynchronous learning on Vetbloom and weekly live virtual didactic rounds
- Regular live continuing education events led by specialists and experienced emergency doctors
- Work alongside talented Emergency Veterinarians
Work authorization in the United States is a requirement for the position. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the company, but candidates eligible for TN status may be considered.
