What is a Salesperson?
Entry‑level sales position supporting the DIY business and driving store sales and service goals. Requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive and part information, and the ability to source from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers. In‑depth inventory and maintenance process knowledge is essential. Position may be part‑time or full‑time. Fleet safety certification preferred.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide an excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
- Achieve personal sales goal and help the store attain its sales objectives
- Provide DIY services such as battery installation, testing, and wiper installs
- Maintain store product and operational standards
- Handle inventory processes including truck put‑away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, and back‑stock management
- Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot)
- General stocking including truck stocking and back‑stock
- Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
- Basic driving and navigation ability
- Proficiency with delivery board system
- Friendly communication skills
- Ability to locate and stock parts
- Safety knowledge and skills
- Operating inventory systems and store equipment
- Parts and automotive system knowledge
- Operating POS and parts lookup systems
- Expertise with testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service
Job Skills for Success as a Salesperson
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build relationships with customers, peers, and management
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Use basic math accurately (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure)
- Work a variety of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- 2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences
What is a Store Driver?
Entry‑level store position responsible for delivering parts to commercial customers and supporting store inventory tasks. Position may be part‑time or full‑time and must be fleet safety certified.
Primary Responsibilities- Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
- Pick and stage parts for customer orders
- Pick up returns and cores
- Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers
- Daily collection of credit accounts
- Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot)
- General stocking including truck stocking and back‑stock
- Basic driving and navigation ability
- Proficiency with delivery board system
- Friendly communication
- Ability to locate and stock parts
- Safety knowledge and skills
- Operating inventory systems (back‑stock) and store equipment
Job Skills for Success as a Driver
- Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management

- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Work a variety of days, evenings, and weekends as needed

Physical Demands
The employee will predominantly walk or stand, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Tasks include talking, hearing, handling, reaching, climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crawling. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentWork is mainly indoors but occasionally outdoors with exposure to weather, moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, chemicals, electrical shock, and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
