Customers will be welcomed and directed to the right products and services. Responsibilities include listening to customers, answering questions, organizing merchandise, and ensuring needs are met.

Daily responsibilities may vary by department.

Customer Service Associates can be assigned to departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden, Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, Home Décor, Tool Rental, or Pro Services.

• Welcome customers, answer questions, deliver friendly professional service
• Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise
• Down‑stock merchandise by replenishing shelves
• Process orders and deliveries accurately
• Cross‑train in other store areas to enhance service
• Prepare merchandise based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds)
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout
• Complete other duties as assigned

• 6 months experience using a computer (inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information)
• 6 months experience using common retail technology (smartphones, tablets)
• Reading, writing and basic arithmetic skills
• Ability to perform duties requiring prolonged standing, sitting, and other necessary activities
• Minimum lift of 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with or without accommodation

• 6 months retail or customer service experience
• Bi‑lingual skills
• Certification in trade related to the department (hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials)

This role does not require regular travel; occasional travel may occur for meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.

Environmental factors vary by location (inside and outside weather, extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, drafty). Noisy environments may be present. Lifting guidelines: limited to 75 lbs single lift; team lifts from 75 lbs or as needed. Powered equipment should be used with proper training.
