Overview
We are looking for a fire alarm & suppression level II who has a passion for the customer and life safety. The candidate has experience in the fire protection industry and can perform inspections, installation, testing, service and repairs of fire alarm systems, engineered and pre-engineered suppression systems. This includes confirming compliance with applicable life-safety and fire-safety requirements as mandated by standards, codes, manufacturers requirements, federal, state and local ordinances, customer requirements, and company expectations.
This is a fast-paced and demanding role with high visibility within the company.
- Perform installation, inspection and testing of all types of fire alarm and engineered and pre-engineered suppression systems at the required frequencies in accordance with applicable NFPA codes and standards.
- Perform programming, testing, final inspections, as-built drawings and customer training for installations. Troubleshoot and perform service and repair of fire alarm and suppression systems.
- Record and document all inspections, repairs, discrepancies, and recommendations either electronically or manually.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers and communicate information to appropriate personnel for follow-up, quotes, questions, or concerns.
- Maintain vehicle and equipment in a clean, stocked, and orderly fashion and ensure tools and parts are ready to perform the job.
- Evaluate customer site for additional equipment and services the customer may require.
- Work in compliance with the Company s safety program.
- Perform on-site and/or off-site (phone) emergency troubleshooting of fire alarm and suppression systems.
- Discuss deficiencies with customers, explaining the problem and its resolution.
- Occasional nights, weekends, and/or holidays may be required; discuss scheduling with your Manager.
- Be comfortable with heights, ladders or lifts, and working in confined spaces.
- A minimum of 2 years of fire detection and signaling systems experience, including:
- At least 12 months of fire alarm systems experience, including alarm and detection, notification, sprinkler monitoring, and interfaces and controls for agent releasing suppression systems in installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, technical system estimating and sales, plans preparation, or maintenance roles.
- Ability to calculate basic math (fractions, decimals, percentages).
- Knowledge of basic computer functions and software; ability to learn industry-specific devices and software.
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring; ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Valid U.S. driver s license.
- 2 – 5 years of experience with fire alarm and suppression systems.
- NICET II Certification in Fire Alarm Systems.
- State license in the relevant state.
- Experience with electrical wiring and circuitry (desired).

Physical Requirements
Overtime may be required. Work locations may vary, with exposure to hot or cold environments, dust, and travel. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, climb ladders, crawl in confined spaces, and wear PPE as required. Driving may be required.
