Assistant Accountant

As an Assistant Accountant you'll support the Accounting & Finance team by managing daily financial tasks and ensuring smooth operations. From preparing reports to reconciling accounts, you'll play an important role in keeping the numbers in order for a busy business services environment.

Description

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes.
Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Monitor and process invoices, payments and expenses.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation.
Collaborate with the team to improve financial processes and systems.

Profile

A successful Assistant Accountant should have:

Relevant qualifications or training in accounting or finance.
Experience working within an accounting or finance role.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
