Parts Advisor

Reed Business Support are recruiting for a Parts Advisor on behalf of our valued client in Ashford.

This exciting opportunity is ideal for an experienced Parts Advisor or automotive professional looking to join a well-established commercial vehicle business. Working within a busy parts department, you will play a key role in supporting both customers and technicians by ensuring the correct parts are identified, sourced, and supplied efficiently.

If you have previous parts experience, excellent customer service skills, and a strong understanding of truck and van parts, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

Working hours are 8am-6pm Monday
- Friday

Key Responsibilities

As a Parts Advisor, your duties will include:

• Assisting customers and technicians with identifying and sourcing the correct vehicle parts
• Processing incoming and outgoing parts orders accurately and efficiently
• Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory information
• Liaising closely with the workshop to ensure parts availability for repairs and servicing
• Building strong relationships with customers and delivering a first-class service
• Managing supplier and customer communications via telephone and email
• Supporting maintenance and repair operations by ensuring parts are readily available
• Coordinating parts deliveries and availability with internal departments
• Maintaining a clean, organised and compliant parts department
• Providing advice and guidance regarding vehicle parts and maintenance requirements where appropriate

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience within a Parts Advisor or Parts Department role
• Technical knowledge of commercial vehicles, vans, or trucks
• Experience working within a dealership, fleet, automotive or commercial vehicle environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organisational abilities and the capability to work under pressure
• Good IT skills, including experience using stock control or parts management systems
• Knowledge of ADP Autoline, Kerridge or Keyloop systems would be advantageous
• A proactive and team-focused approach to work
