Quantity Surveyor

My client, a smaller house builder delivering bespoke homes, are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor with proven experience working for a house builder who is looking to play a key role in managing costs and maximising project profitability from inception through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

* Managing all commercial aspects of multiple new-build residential developments.

* Preparing and managing budgets, cost plans, and forecasts.

* Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.

* Preparing tender documentation and carrying out tender analysis.

* Negotiating subcontract agreements and managing subcontractor accounts.

* Monitoring project costs, valuations, variations, and cash flow.

* Producing monthly cost/value reconciliation reports.

* Managing payments, final accounts, and commercial reporting.

* Working closely with site, technical, and land teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.

* Identifying commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor working for a house builder.

* Strong understanding of new-build residential construction processes.

* Experience managing subcontractor procurement and account management.

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

* Excellent negotiation and commercial management skills.

* Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost control procedures.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant surveying software
