Groundworks Foreman

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable groundworks and civil engineering contractor for an experienced Groundworks Supervisor to join their team on projects across Ashford and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated supervisor to join a growing business delivering high-quality residential, commercial and infrastructure projects.

The Role:

As the Groundworks Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard. You will work closely with Site Managers, Project Managers and subcontractors to ensure programmes are met.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervise groundworks teams on site, ensuring productivity and quality.

* Coordinate daily activities and allocate work to operatives.

* Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations.

* Monitor project progress and report updates to the Site Manager.

* Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.

* Conduct site inspections and ensure work meets required specifications.

* Resolve on-site issues to keep projects running on schedule.

Requirements:

* Previous experience supervising groundworks or civil engineering projects.

* Strong understanding of drainage, foundations, roads, kerbing, paving and external works.

* SSSTS or SMSTS certification.

* Valid CSCS Card.

* First Aid qualification (preferred).

* Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.

* Full UK driving licence.
