Role Overview :
Reporting to the Head of Customer Care, the Customer Care Co-Ordinator will take ownership of day-to-day customer aftercare coordination.
The role focuses on liaising with homeowners, managing reported defects, coordinating operatives and subcontractors, and ensuring a high standard of customer service is delivered in line with industry standards and company expectations.
This position requires strong organisation, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver customer service in line with the Customer Care Charter and NHBC standards
* Professionally manage incoming calls and emails, ensuring all enquiries are logged and responded to promptly
* Record and update customer cases accurately on Dynamics
* Coordinate maintenance operatives’ diaries and schedule appointments with homeowners
* Arrange and manage subcontractor attendance and material orders
* Liaise with the Buying department to ensure materials are ordered as required
* Monitor recurring defects and escalate trends to the Head of Customer Care
* Provide regular updates to customers regarding progress of works
* Upload plot documentation to internal systems and maintain accurate records
* Coordinate completion of end-of-defect works for Housing Associations
Requirements:
* Previous experience within a Customer Care / Aftercare role (ideally within house building or construction)
* Strong administrative and organisational skills
* Experience using Dynamics or similar CRM systems (preferred)
* Knowledge of NHBC standards (advantageous)
* Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
