Teacher of MFL; German - Maternity Cover

Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (German) required for a well-regarded mainstream secondary school in the Ashford/Tenterden area of Kent.

This is a full-time maternity cover position starting April 2026, expected to run for up to one year.

The successful candidate will:

• Teach German across KS3 (with potential KS4/KS5 depending on experience)

• Plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons in line with national curriculum

• Assess, monitor and report on student progress

• Contribute to the wider ethos of the MFL department

• Take on form tutor responsibilities

The school is seeking an enthusiastic and committed German specialist who can inspire students and contribute positively to a collaborative department.

Requirements:

• UK QTS (or working towards QTS)

• Experience teaching German at secondary level

• Strong classroom management skills

• Commitment to safeguarding and high standards
