Environmental Advisor

Are you looking to take the next step in your environmental career within the construction sector? We are working with a leading contractor that is expanding it's team - they are seeking an Environmental Advisor to support the delivery of major projects and help drive environmental best practice across their operations.

Key responsibilities will include:

Providing environmental advice, guidance and support to project delivery teams across construction sites
Carrying out environmental inspections, audits and monitoring activities, ensuring findings are communicated and actions implemented
Supporting compliance with ISO
14001, ISO
50001 and environmental licences, permits and other regulatory requirements
Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of environmental documentation, including Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs), waste management plans and environmental risk assessments
Monitoring energy consumption and carbon performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and reducing environmental impact
Supporting water pollution prevention measures and effective silt management on construction projects
Contributing to sustainability initiatives and environmental awareness campaigns across the business
This opportunity offers the chance to work on high-profile construction schemes within a supportive and forward-thinking organisation. To be considered, applicants should be able to demonstrate:

Experience in an environmental role, preferably within construction, civil engineering or infrastructure projects
Good understanding of environmental legislation, standards and industry best practice
Experience carrying out site inspections and providing practical environmental support to operational teams
