Job Title: Design Engineer

Are you a Design Engineer with an excellent mechanical engineering background and experience in product design within a manufacturing environment, utilising multi‑component sheet metal assemblies?

• Design and detailing of conceptual design through to manufacturing drawings.
• Correct sizing/specification of individual components.
• Compilation of Bill of Materials and specifications for purchasing and manufacturer.
• Evaluation, testing and introduction of alternative designs and components.

• Degree qualified in HNC / HND / Degree level in Mechanical Engineering.
• Fully conversant in 2D & 3D mechanical design packages.
• Excellent all‑round mechanical engineering skills.
• Component sizing / selection / costing.
• Experience of multi‑component sheet metal assemblies.
• Knowledge of Thermodynamics highly advantageous.
