Position: Senior Accountant - 6m FTC
Senior Accountant | Finance Process & Reporting Improvement
6-Month FTC | £50,000-£60,000 | Hybrid (2-3 days in office)

The Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded finance professional to join an organisation on a six-month fixed-term contract, supporting a review and implementation of improvements across finance processes, management reporting and systems.

This role will suit someone with strong technical finance skills, excellent Excel capabilities and a hands-on approach to improving processes, enhancing reporting and partnering with stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Review existing finance processes, management reporting and controls, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy and consistency.

Support the design and implementation of improved finance processes, reporting frameworks and systems.

Develop and enhance management reporting to provide meaningful financial insight and support business decision-making.

Partner with Finance Managers and wider business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver practical solutions.

Identify opportunities to streamline and automate reporting processes using Excel and finance systems.

Support the implementation and embedding of new processes across the finance function.

About You

Previous experience in a management accounting or Finance Manager role, with a strong understanding of management reporting and financial processes.

Strong Excel skills and the ability to analyse, manipulate and present financial data.

Systems-savvy, with the ability to navigate finance systems and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Excellent business partnering and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work across finance and non-finance teams.

A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to work independently and deliver improvements within a fixed-term assignment.

A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) would be advantageous but is not essential. Relevant experience and technical capability are equally valued.

6-month fixed-term contract

Salary: £50,000-£60,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Working pattern:
Hybrid, with 2-3 days per week in the office
